Xonar Technology Inc., a leader in next-generation contactless security screening, today announced that its TruePort® system has received the SAFETY Act Designation from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a Qualified Anti- Terrorism Technology (QATT).
The designation, awarded following DHS review including evaluation of operational performance, provides important liability protection for Xonar and its customers using TruePort in connection with acts of terrorism.
"The DHS designation underscores our proven performance, customer protections and competitive differentiation in the U.S. security market," said Hans Hufschmid, Xonar’s Chairman & Chief Executive Officer.
Xonar is deploying its TruePort® screening devices across a wide range of sectors, including sports and entertainment venues, schools, art installations, corporate campuses, hospitals, warehouses, rental companies serving events and festivals, and other facilities requiring next-generation, non-invasive threat detection solutions.
TruePort leverages state-of-the-art multi-sensor technology, machine learning and artificial intelligence to help distinguish potential threats from everyday items, including both metallic and non-metallic objects, while preserving individual privacy.
The QATT designation is Xonar's third recognition for TruePort's superior physical security screening system. The National Center for Spectator Sports and Security at The University of Southern Mississippi evaluated TruePort's ability to detect concealed weapons. The overall composite score of 2.93, out of a possible 3.00, showed strong performance across the evaluated capabilities of TruePort. Xonar also was awarded the 2025 Security Industry Association's award for best new product under the Antiterrorism, Force Protection and Armed Aggressor category.
